What computer program would I use to create a company newsletter?

Written by admin on June 2nd, 2009

Hi! I am an administrative assistant at a small hospital. My boss has requested that I begin a “company newsletter” that will go out in every employee’s mailbox each month.

My question is: How should I go about starting this? What computer program should I use, what questions should I ask my boss (for instance, would I ask: “What kind of header would you like?”), and should there be anything else I should keep in mind?

All suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Culminating Activity

Your Culminating Activity is worth 15% of your final mark.

For your culminating activity, you are to prepare for the following scenario: you are applying for a student grant given to students who wish to start up their own summer business.

Your culminating activity is made up of the following:

A two page report outlining the details of your summer business. Include information about the name of your business, the type of business, and the details about the business (What is the purpose of the business? What is your target market? What materials/inventory do you need to get started? How much money do you require for startup? Where is the business located? How many people will be working? How much money do you expect to earn during the summer? etc.etc.). Include appropriate charts/graphs, for example showing your projected revenues and expenses.
A business card, created in Publisher
A flyer, brochure, or newsletter advertising your business
A website
A website (optional) advertising your business
A short Powerpoint presentation (approximately five slides), in which you will present your idea. This is where you will “sell” your idea to the people in charge of funding your business.
