I’m trying to email some math problems and I can’t figure out how to make the exponents small and look like they should. There must be a way, isn’t there?

use the rich text editor for your e-mails. If you use the rich-text editor, you should be able to change the size and superscript of the font.

You just do it like this: x^2
or x^(-2)
or x^(1/2)
