If I get a Yahoo Music subscription, can I listen to the music offline?

Written by admin on November 8th, 2009

With a Yahoo Music unlimited subsription, is it possible to get music while online, then listen to it while offline. Or do you have to be online anytime you listen to your Yahoo music songs?
But can you listen to music offline just on the computer without the Yahoo Music to go subscription?

yes, you can download it into your Windows compatible MP3 player for the life of your subscription

Yes. You can listen to music offline on your PC with Yahoo Music Unlimited.

However, if you are offline on your PC, only subscription (downloaded), purchased, and imported (ripped) tracks will play if you are offline. If you switched to streaming tracks to save disks space, streamed tracks will not play offline.

I just tried it and verified that it does work.

Note there are two levels to Yahoo Music Unlimited, basic and “To Go”. The basic level only works with your PC to listen to music offline. If you want to transfer the subscription songs to your portable music player, you need Yahoo Music Unlimited To Go which is an additional fee and a PlaysForSure compatible player.
