Is this good news or BAD news? SSi question?

I called SSi for the status of my preemature son’s claim, and they told me that soon I will be getting in the mail a letter telling me to go over the information I had provided to them in regards to where we live, and any income that I had provided them with that is correctly in their files.
For anyone that has been approved for ssi benefits…did you get such letter before being awarded benefits??

-It’s NO News, I’m sorry to say… Just a standard confirmation notice everyone gets to make SURE they got your Info right… SSI Claims ALWAYS take a month or two longer than Forever… -So don’t count on any Benefits any time soon…- Your Son could be graduating College before they finally Decide on anything!

Usually if a company like that asks you to check over the information you gave them it gives you a chance just to go over it again. Usually they try to make you think that everything’s not matching up to what you told them but if it’s exactly like you told them then there’s nothing to worry about. I’ve always heard they like to give people a hard time who apply for ssi but being as your son is premature they’ll probably speed things up but I don’t know how much.
