    You might try here:

I had problems at first, too – the whole latching on process was very painful, and then the actual nursing itself was tough. Especially after a c-section. I would advise you to get some Lanisoh and a ****** shield. Both work wonders.

Go to your local hospital and talk to someone who specializes in helping moms breastfeed. WIC will also help you.

    Hi,

Congratulations on your new baby! I’m sorry to hear your past experiences haven’t been good. I would suggest contacting or checking out La Leche League International.

La Leche League International has been around for 50 years and is the world’s leading authority on breastfeeding. The organization also works with other health organizations like WHO, UNICEF etc.

LLLI itself specializes in mother-to-mother support and LLL Leaders are mothers who’ve breastfed their own babies and went through training and accreditation through LLLI to help answer other mother’s questions.

LLLI now has a new web based mother-to-mother forum too. Meetings can be helpful too since you can connect to other local mothers in real life and get first hand experiences and tips. LLL Leaders are also available by phone to help answer specific questions and can tell you when a problem goes outside the normal course of breastfeeding and needs to be handled with the assistance of a health care provider. La Leche League International offers this all for free.

If you do decide to become a member LLLI does send out New Beginnings, which is a breastfeeding mother’s publication with breastfeeding articles, book reviews, rmother-to-mother helping situations, recipies, and there’s even a father’s peice too. So that part isn’t free, but they do have back issues of New Beginnings online and I believe looking at those are free too.

    Hope that is helpful!

    congratulations
    I would realy recomend
You can post messages to other mums, ask questions on any topic. I have a 2.5 yr old and a 11 week old baby and i find it he best.
They also tell you the best buys. eg if your not sure what pushchair would suit you best youcan cheek with them and get feed back from other mums. I think it realy is the best. Good luck

Congratulations!! And what ever you do… stick with it!! breastfeeding is the bomb….. A good websit to go to is

la leche league.. they are great!!!. They will coach on the phone on what to do & how to do it… Some of them will even come & help you.. go to the site below & pick out the state you live in and follow the directions..

you are doing the best thing for your baby. It will get better. Out of my 5 kids I only didnt ****** feed one & she is the one with the most problems… gets sick easlaly… The only reason I didnt ****** feed her was b/c she rejected my milk.
