What should one put in a family newsletter?

Hey I got an assignment from school, were I need to make two adds that one could find in a family newsletter. I need stuff like babyshowers or colecting names for family tree stuff…any suggestions? It needs to be informative and inetersting…

    . This ain’t Rocket Science, y’know.
    What ever happened in YOUR life ?
    People get born, they die, get married, move to a different country, graduate, travel on vacation, get interesting jobs, Aunt Sally went into rehab for ***** cocaine, Cousin Joe got a new truck, new house, new boat, …etc.
