Newsletter/Newspaper ideas for my husband in marine bootcamp?

I am making a custom newletter for my husband who is in boot camp for the marines. I heard its their life line. I need upbeat things in my newsletter.
So far I am putting in :
- Comics Section
- Funny Pictures I find online
- Inspirational quotes
- Marine jokes
Its going to be on one sheet of paper front and back. So tell me more ideas! Thanks!

What a cute idea?I think what you’re planning to include so far looks pretty good, but I do have a few suggestions.
-In addition to (or instead of, if there’s a space concern) include pictures of yourself making funny faces straight into the camera. You may feel silly doing it, but you’re suppose to.
-I also like the idea of including a little section of: “Some of the many reasons I love you”
That’s all I can think of right now, but it should be plenty to fill one page front and back. I don’t know what you’re planning to design it in, but feel free to email me if you have any design specific questions.
