I need to send an email newsletter (HTML and text) to CFO’s, but only have company name and location?

Steve F asked:

I have a list of 5000 companies, address, city and state. I want to send an HTML and text email to the CFO or VP Operations level contact at each company. Absent of looking up the specific executive via Hoovers or Selectory or some other way, then finding out the correct email convention for that company – is there an easier/faster process? The way I am used to doing it is OK for 10-20 companies, but no way for 5000. Any suggestions or actual guidance are welcome. It is important that the message gets to the CFO level, my company offers a very specific service.

other looking them up manually, all i can think of is to
    1. purchase a list (search internet) which may include some of the comapnies-a CFO trade organization might be a good start (e..g National Assoc. of CFO’s). If they have (most do) regular conferences, sometimes the attendees are published on the conference website. Would take a lot of web research but might pan out.

    2. depending on how geographically dispersed they are (if many are located in the same area), perhaps local business orgs., chamber of commerce, etc. would have some info.

    Tough issue-lots of luck.
